DECEMBER 4TH: COOKIES

Sour Cream Cut Outs 

1 c. butter

2 c. sugar

3 eggs, slightly beaten

5 c. flour

½ tsp. vanilla

1 c. sour cream

2 tsp. baking powder

½ tsp. baking soda

½ tsp. nutmeg

Blend butter and sugar. Add flavoring & eggs. In separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda & nutmeg. Add dry ingredients alternating with sour cream. (Be sure to end with flour). Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Chill for at least 3 hours or overnight. Roll to ¼” thick; cut into desired shapes and bake on greased cookie sheet in 375° oven for 10-13 minutes. Cool; frost & decorate. Yield: 5-6 dozen.
