Debra L. Mischler

Debra L. Mischler, 66, of Waupun, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Waupun Memorial Hospital with family by her side. 

Deb was born October 24, 1956, to Eugene and Louann Lillehamer Nimmer in Waupun. Deb was a graduate of Waupun High School in 1975 where she was a national honor society member and a proud member of the warrior marching band. After graduation Deb started working at the State Bank of Waupun, and continued to work in the banking community of Waupun. On October 2, 1981 Deb married Larry Mischler and together they traveled the U.S. and abroad along most of the flat track races throughout Wisconsin, always returning to their Green Lake cottage for the summer retreat with an open invitation for all to enjoy. In Deb’s spare time she was one of Waupun’s premier lady bowlers, traveling with her team of devoted friends to numerous state tournaments and everything in between. 

Deb is survived by her husband of 41 years, Larry; step-daughter, Star (Scott) Shea and step-grandchildren: Lotus and Rain Shea; mother-in-law, Arletta Mischler; family members: Laverne (Glen) Navis, Art (Deb) Mischler, Lynette (Bob) Kehrmeyer, Dave (Lisa) Mischler, Bill Mischler Jr., Jenice (Steve Cornett) Mischler, Jeff (Shelly) Landaal, Lori (Rick) Golz, Traci (Steve) Flegner, Cindy (Steve) Zietlow; and all of her very special nieces, nephews, and cousins; along with numerous friends. 

Deb was preceded in death by her parents; and her father-in-law, Bill Mischler Sr. 

A very special thank you to Carol Flegner, Bob Sullivan, and the SSM Hospital and hospice staff. Your care and compassion have been felt by us all. 

Funeral services for Deb L. Mischler will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 12 noon at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waupun with Pastor Jeff Nicla officiating. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
