DCSO Arrest Reeseville Man Wanted On Various Warrants

(Reeseville) The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office served an arrest warrant Monday on a Reeseville man wanted on a number of warrants. Ricky Hardy was taken into custody around 12:40pm at 211 North Main Street in Reeseville. The 41-year-old was wanted for felony Escape, Obstruction, Failure to Appear Child Neglect and a parole violation. Detectives have also identified him as a person of interest to be questioned in other recent property crimes. Sheriff Dale Schmidt says his office’s tactical team was utilized due to officer safety concerns received from the public prior to their arrival. He says during the execution of the warrant, a second story window was broken out and Hardy exited to the porch roof. Hardy was arrested at the residence shortly after the attempt was made. Also, 46-year-old Kasey Buechel was taken into custody on charges of Aiding a Felon, Encouraging Violation of Probation and Resisting. Schmidt says those who choose to participate in criminal activity will be thoroughly investigated and subject to arrest, especially as the community is already struggling with the challenges of COVID-19. Adding that thefts, burglaries or other property crimes will not be ignored. He says he wants citizens to rest easy knowing that they are doing everything they can to bring these people to justice. Schmidt also encourages everyone to report suspicious activity and also to ensure all homes, vehicles, outbuildings and businesses are locked and checked frequently.
