DCCA Jumpstarts 2024 With Digital Art Show

(Beaver Dam) The Dodge County Center for the Arts is kicking off the year with a Digital Art Show starting today through February 4th. The opening reception for the show is today from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

This will be the first show that the Center of the Arts puts on in 2024. This show will be featuring work from cosplay costume designer Damian Bertelsen and visionary illustrator Tyler Marx.

President Kraig Kasten mentioned that Gallery Manager Amy McPherson originally came up with the idea to bring back the digital art show, and the stars were aligning for the month-long event to take place just after the holidays.

“We’ve always been trying to do new and innovative things,” Karsten said. “When Amy ran across [Bertelsen and Marx], they said they’d love to have a show, and it was a great fit.”

Kasten mentioned that it had been roughly a decade since the time the Center for the Arts hosted a Digital Art Show.

Entrance to the Dodge County Center for the Arts is always free, and the organization is always looking for more volunteers to help with a variety of tasks.
