CWC Girls Volleyball Doing It With Defense

The Central Wisconsin Christian girls volleyball team is off to an 8-1 start this season.

Head coach Dan Ten Napel tells that  “So far we are just thrilled to be playing volleyball first of all.  Looking back this summer and not knowing what the future was gong to be for volleyball and if we gong to have a season and things like that.  Its just really fun to be giving the girls a great experience and to be competing in a pretty normal way. On the court as well, we are off to a great season.  We are thrilled with where we are at but we have a lot of work to do yet.”

Coach Ten Napel says that one of the big keys his squad’s early season success is their defensive play.  He says they are making very few mistakes on defense and are receiving very well.  He adds that other teams are having a hard time finding easy points.

If the Crusaders are going to contend for league title, Ten Napel says his team will need to continue to play great defense, improve in the service game, and offensively become more efficient.

Central Wisconsin Christian will travel to Valley Christian on Thursday night.
