A former Central Wisconsin Christian Girls Basketball coach is returning to the bench next season. Mark Vander Werff served as head coach for the Crusader’s from 2000 to 2012 and replaces Charlie Mulder who stepped down after seven years at the helm of CWC. During his first coaching tenure, Vander Werff won a pair of regional championships and fell just short of a state tournament berth in 2010. He also compiled a 141-130 mark in those 12 seasons. Vander Werff says he is excited to get back into coaching high school basketball and looks forward to helping his players reach their full potential both on and off the court. CWC says Vander Werff will continue in his roles at the school as K-12 Physical Education teacher and 6-12 Athletic Director.
