Coronavirus Sunday Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 4,588 positive coronavirus cases in Sunday’s daily update. There are 26,670 active cases in the state, an increase of 93 cases from Saturday. Active cases make up 5.5-percent of the 486-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 455-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded five deaths bringing that total to 4,875. Deaths account for one-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 349-thousand people were from the United States.

Dodge County has seen 125 deaths and 10,465 cases a one-day increase of 14 positive tests. The county had 24 negative tests returned for a running total of 36,799. Washington County has seen 97 deaths along with 11,808 cases to date. Fond du Lac County has 67 deaths with 10,505 positive tests on record. The state says Jefferson County has seen 57 deaths and 6,732 cases to date. Columbia County has 32 deaths and 4,264 positive tests. Green Lake County has reported 10 deaths with 1,400 cases on record.
