(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 762 positive coronavirus cases in Tuesday’s daily update, which is 5.3-percent of the 14,400 tests announced. There are 9,742 active cases in the state, down 131 from Monday. Active cases make up 19-percent of the 50-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 39-thousand recoveries.
There were 13 deaths reported by state health officials Tuesday, for a total of 906. Deaths accounted for 1.8-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 9-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there has been 147-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 655-thousand.
Washington County recorded two more deaths yesterday bringing that number to 21, they also have 724 cases – a one-day increase of 21. Fond du Lac County now has seven deaths and 503 positive tests to date.
Dodge County has five deaths on record and 627 cases, an increase of five from Monday. The county had 84 negative tests returned for a running total of 14,493. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 68 cases while 317 have recovered.
Jefferson County has four deaths and 525 cases. There has been one death in Columbia County where there have been 198 positive cases. Green Lake County has 49 cases.
