Coronavirus Cases Decrease For Third Day

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting an increase of 272 cases of COVID-19 in yesterday’s (Friday’s) daily update. The seven-day average is 278 daily infections. There are 22,518 people now having tested positive. Two-point-four-percent (2.4%) of over 11,000 tests administered came back positive Friday, compared to 2.8-percent on Friday and 3.6-percent Thursday. State health officials are reporting two more deaths bringing that number to 691. Deaths accounted for three-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 13-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Dodge County has four deaths on record and 423 cases, an increase of eight from Friday. The county had 192 negative tests returned for a running total of 7,219. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 31 people while 164 have recovered. Washington County has reported 11 deaths and 290 positive tests. Fond du Lac County has six deaths on record and 259 positive tests to date. Jefferson County has four deaths and 155 cases. There has been one death in Columbia County and 56 positive cases. Green Lake County has 24 cases.
