Coronavirus Cases Continue Upward Trend

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 457 cases of COVID-19 in Sunday’s daily update. While that figure is 82 fewer than Saturday, the seven-day average which has seen a steady increase since June 19th, is now up to 418 daily infections. There are 27,743 people now having tested positive. Seven-point-one-percent (7.1%) of the 6,000 tests administered came back positive Sunday, compared to 5.9-percent Saturday. State health officials are reporting 777 deaths. Deaths accounted for three-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 12-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Dodge County has five deaths on record and 453 cases, three more than Saturday. The county had 277 negative tests returned yesterday for a running total of 10,148. Washington County has 15 deaths to date and 354 cases. Fond du Lac has six deaths on record and 308 positive tests to day. Jefferson County has four deaths and 228 cases. There has been one death in Columbia County where there are 80 positive cases. Green Lake County now has 32 cases.
