Competency Exam Ordered For Accused Child Molester

7/21/17 – A competency exam has been ordered for a Beaver Dam man accused of having inappropriate contact with two minors. Roberto Rodriguez-Rodriquez appeared in court yesterday on two felony counts of First Degree Child Sexual Assault with a Person Under Age 12. Attorney’s for Rodriguez raised concerns about his competency and Judge Steven Bauer ordered to the evaluation. Prosecutors say two female minors along with a male juvenile went over to Rodriguez’s’ property to see his cat on July 5. The 32-year-old reportedly took the two girls, who were between the ages of six-to-eight, into his room and assaulted them. They returned the next day to see the cat and one of the minors was allegedly assaulted again. One of the victims told the male juvenile who then informed his parents. Rodriguez turned himself in earlier this month. If convicted, he faces 120 years in prison.
