(Columbus) Committee assignments have been announced for Wisconsin’s newest member of the Assembly. State Representative Will Penterman was appointed by Assembly Speaker Robin Vos to four committees for the 2021-22 legislative session. The Columbus Republican will serve on Education, Veterans and Military Affairs, Housing and Real Estate, and Constitution and Ethics. Penterman says he is “excited” to get to work and notes there is still a long legislative session ahead. He says he is (quote) “looking forward to reviewing proposed legislation on these committees and strengthening Wisconsin laws to foster a better business climate for [the] district.” Penterman won a special election last month for the seat vacated by John Jagler of Watertown, who now serves in the Senate. The 37th Assembly District includes portions of Dane, Columbia, Dodge and Jefferson Counties.
The representative’s office is located at 8 West at the Wisconsin State Capitol. He can be reached at (608) 266-9650 or by e-mail at [email protected].
