Columbus Man Arrested For Fifth OWI Offense

(Otsego) A Columbus man was arrested Sunday for fifth offense Operating While Intoxicated. A Columbia County sheriff’s deputy observed a pick-up truck travelling eastbound in the ditch line of Highway 16 in Otsego at a high rate of speed around 3:30pm. Law enforcement lost sight of the vehicle until a second deputy saw it in the city of Columbus. The truck was later located by Columbus police in the driveway of a residence on Charles Street. The driver, reportedly identified as Phillip Rozinski, was uncooperative and argumentative with officers. Rozinski’s breath allegedly smelt of intoxicants and he refused field sobriety testing before being taken into custody. In addition to the OWI charge, the the 31-year-old is facing Operating after Revocation, Ignition Interlock Device Tampering and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
