The Columbus high school fall baseball team swept a pair of games from the Hurricanes baseball team on Sunday. In game 1, James Mobry tossed a no-hitter in the 12-0 win. Mobry fanned 11 and walked one in the five-inning victory. He also went 2×2 at the plate with 2 RBI. AJ Uttech was 1×3 with 2RBI and Porter Taylor went 2×2 in the victory. C-Bus picked up a 7-4 win in game 2. Mobry went 2×2 with an RBI, Uttech also put together another 2×2 game. Trace Kirchberg also went 1×1. Columbus improves to 5-3 this fall. Columbus will host Waunakee next Sunday for a doubleheader. The first pitch of game 1 is set for 9:30am. The Hurricanes are a conglomerate of high school players from various teams.
