7/28/11 – The “Discovery” Charter School in Columbus will be starting a second three-year contract when school resumes in fall. This week the science-based K thru 4 School presented WKCE test results from students who have been in the program for three years. Charter student tests were well above state averages. The Board was told the curriculum was not for every student. However, those who elected to use the Charter tract appear to be doing much better on standard tests. The Discovery School will be entering their next year with a full enrollment.
