(Pacific) A mobile home in Columbia County was completely destroyed by fire early Monday morning. The Portage Fire Department was called to Pride of America Campground at W7520 West Bush Road around 2:34am.
Upon arrival, crews found a one-story wood frame mobile home fully engulfed. Firefighters approached from the exterior and took a defensive approach. They were also able to protect nearby homes and buildings, however there was minor damage to two other homes in the vicinity.
Columbia County sheriff’s deputies were one scene for traffic control and investigation. Alliant Energy was called for secure gas and power. There were no injuries reported. The cause of the blaze was undetermined.
