Columbia County Health To Hold Testing Site In Columbus Saturday

(Columbus) The Columbia County Health Department will be hosting a drive through COVID testing site this weekend in Columbus. The site will offer free nasal swab testing and is open to the community. Health officials say in an effort to save time, they encourage online registration for testing. Although, pre-registration is not required to get tested. Staff on site will assist in the registration process. Due to unknown interest, those going should prepare for potential wait times. Health officials ask those in vehicles or horse drawn buggies to from a line and stay in their mode of transportation at all times. The National Guard will be doing the testing, they will be in uniform and full personal protective equipment. Those tested will be contacted with their results within three to seven business days. The testing site will be located at the Columbus Community Center located at 161 North Dickason Boulevard from 10am to 1pm this Saturday.
