(Portage) The Columbia County Health Department will be hosting a free walk-in COVID vaccine clinic tomorrow (Thursday). County health officials say the clinic will be for a first dose Pfizer shot, available for ages 12-and-up, and a second dose Moderna shot. Appointments are not necessary to receive the vaccine but people can schedule a time online. Those interested in going must stay on site for a 15-minute observation period after receiving the vaccine. Health officials also ask those in attendance to practice social distancing and wear a mask. The clinic will be at the Columbia County Health and Human Services Building located at 111 East Mullett Street in Portage from 8am to 4pm. The public is asked to enter the facility at the ADRC entrance. A link to schedule a vaccine shot can be found at https://wi-telegov.egov.com/columbia-county.
