Columbia County Deputies Arrest Man Who Discharged Firearm During Domestic Incident

(Pacific) The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Saturday who allegedly discharged a firearm during a domestic incident. Authorities received a call around 5:10pm from a woman who locked herself inside a bedroom at a residence on W8281 Dunning Road in the Pacific Township. She said her live in boyfriend, 29-year-old Matthew Evans, was intoxicated and had used a firearm while inside the home. No injuries were reported. When deputies arrived, Evans was observed holding a gun but exited the residence a short time later without it and was taken into custody. Evans was charged with two counts of Disorderly Conduct, Possession of a Firearm while Intoxicated and Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
