(Poynette) Columbia County authorities arrested a rural Poynette man on multiple drug charges Tuesday. A deputy stopped a vehicle just after midnight and when they approached, they observed the driver toss several items out a side window.
The driver, reportedly identified as Kasey Huber, quickly exited and positioned themselves at the front of the vehicle as the deputy arrived. Law enforcement allegedly observed signs of impairment and located drug paraphernalia on Huber.
The items tossed out the window were recovered and included fentanyl as well as other drug paraphernalia. According to authorities, cocaine was located when the vehicle was searched. The 36-year-old was taken into custody and was booked into the Columbia County Jail.
He is facing charges of Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Fentanyl, and Operating while Intoxicated Fourth Offense.
