A local non-profit group is still looking for items to help kids who are going back to school. Clothes for Kids has been in existence since 1988, providing year round, high-quality donated and purchased clothing, new shoes, coats, boots, diapers, grooming items, school supplies, toys and more free of charge for children throughout Dodge County and surrounding communities. Their Back to School program runs every Tuesday in August from noon until 6pm located at 1019 South Spring Street in Beaver Dam. Jodi Slowiak with Clothes for Kids says the during August their organization forms a back to school list with aid from area schools. She says they then begin stockpiling the supplies to handout during their pickup days every Tuesday. Slowiak says that people can still donate items for the Back to School program and if there are left over supplies they will save it for next year. Although Slowiak notes that if there are supplies left after Labor Day weekend parents can stop by their location to pick them up. The program runs through August 28.
