Citizens, Law Enforcement Honored During DCLEA Banquet

(Juneau) Several citizens and law enforcement members were recognized during last Sunday’s Dodge County Law Enforcement Awards Banquet. During this week’s appearance on WBEV’s Community Comment, Sheriff Dale Schmidt says there was a great group of people who were honored at the event including Trooper Randy Kind. Also recognized was a 14-year-old whose call led to authorities stopping a string of burglaries. Tracy Scheffler of 5-Stones which is an organization seeking to end human trafficking won the Citizen of the Year Award. Meanwhile, Dodge County Assistance District Attorney James Sempf was named as the Public Safety Executive of the Year.
