(Beaver Dam) The public is welcomed to reminisce and share their fondest memories of the late Uncle Bill McCollum Friday. A celebration of life for the broadcasting legend will take place at the American Legon Building in Beaver Dam from 4pm to 7pm.
WBEV and 1430 ESPN is organizing the event. Station Manager Sheri Sackett says it is an honor to host a celebration of life for Uncle Bill.
“He has meant so much to all of us here at Good Karma Brands and we know how much he has meant to all his fans spanning decades,” says Sackett. “The celebration is open to the public. It will be a very casual open house style event featuring polka music…food and drink…and most importantly enjoying memories of Bill. So, come on out and help us celebrate the legend of all legends.”
The American Legion is located on 300 Beichl Avenue, a short distance away from Bill McCollum Way where the radio station resides. The street was renamed in 2017 in honor of Uncle Bill’s incredible career.
