Carol D. Wolc, age 80 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2019.
Carol was born on October 9, 1938 in Beaver Dam to Otto and Ida (Kanzenbach) Neumann. On October 7, 1961 she was united in marriage to David R. Wolc at St. John’s Lutheran Church in the township of Trenton. David preceded her in death on October 13, 2003.
Carol had a love of music and she began playing with the Bernie Roberts Orchestra in 1957. For five years, she enjoyed traveling with the band and playing for many events, including being in Chicago where she played piano and sang “Schatzie” on the album. Carol babysat out of her home for many years, waitressed at The Lorelei in Fox Lake and Rock River Country Club in Waupun, and later spent over 20 years working with Bryan Wheeler at Cocktails Bar & Grill in Beaver Dam, where she prepared a variety of different soups and they enjoyed many laughs together. Carol treasured spending time with her family and always looked forward to preparing the big breakfast for opening day of deer season, as well as making her annual trip to Arizona. Her sweet smile and little giggle will be missed by us all.
Carol is survived by her three children, Brian (Sharri) Wolc of Oshkosh, Wendy (Edwin) Hoefs of Fountain Hills, AZ, Chad (Marianne) Wolc of Cambria; two grandchildren, Craig (Jenifer) Wolc of Oconomowoc, Lindsey (Ryan) Bahr of Beaver Dam and a great-granddaughter, Mayci Bahr. She is further survived by eight step-grandchildren, Jim Canales, Jenny Bender, Jake Canales, Stephanie Kind, Jessi Prescott, Nicki Hoefs, Kelly Flegner, Ryan Hoefs; six sisters-in-law, Florence Neumann, Linda Neumann, Eldine Neumann, Betty Warmka, Phyllis Krueger, Shirley Jahnke; her special niece, Brenda Neumann-Wagner along with many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David; two sisters, Eladora Lauth, Lorraine Sampson; four brothers, Roland, Wilbur, Leonard and Vern Neumann, along with a sister-in-law Beverly Neumann and brothers-in-law, Raymond Lauth and Mandon Sampson.
Visitation for Carol will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 300 West St., Beaver Dam from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Stratman officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton.
