Car Bursts Into Flames Following Crash In City Of Beaver Dam

(Beaver Dam) One person was seriously injured in a single vehicle accident Monday in the city of Beaver Dam. A vehicle traveling south on North Spring Street around 1:30pm lost control and hit several traffic light poles before coming to a stop in the front yard of a residential property and bursting into flames. Beaver Dam Police Chief John Kreuziger says the crash is still under investigation but speed is a factor. A witness who was involved in the crash tells us that it seemed like the vehicle was traveling at 100-miles-per-hour. After the car burst into flames, bystanders sprang into action. On the Beaver Dam Fire Department Facebook page, the department acknowledged the heroics of the bystanders who came to the aid of the driver. That included employees of Advanced Disposal, Fischbach Tires, and the City of Beaver Dam Water Utilities who “deployed fire extinguishers and removed the driver from the burning auto at great risk to their own safety.” The vehicle’s driver was taken to a local hospital and the transferred by Flight for Life.
