Cantaloupes Recalled From Aldi

10/3/11 – Cantaloupes linked to an outbreak of listeria infection were sold in Wisconsin Aldi stores. The cantaloupes sold under the brand name Rocky Ford were shipped to this state’s Aldi stores between August 16th and September 13th. Those stores immediately removed the produce from their shelves when they were notified by Jensen Farms of Holly, Colorado. A nationwide recall was issued September 13th. The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection reports it is still trying to discover if other retail stores in the state received the tainted cantaloupes. Two Wisconsin cases of listeriosis have been linked to the outbreak, but they haven’t been conclusively tied to cantaloupes bought at Aldi stores.
