Campbellsport Student Killed in Accident

A Friday morning crash in Fond du Lac took the life of a Campbellsport High School student and seriously injured two others. Authorities say 17-year-old Giovanni Clouse was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Gilberto Castaneda-Bobadilla of Eden. He had to be extricated from the vehicle and was flown to Theda Clark Medical Center for life-threatening injuries. Another passenger, 17-year-old Campbellsport senior Alex Schultz, was taken to St. Agnes Hospital with critical injuries. Fond du Lac authorities say it’s too early to speculate on the cause and circumstances leading up to the crash. Clouse is the fourth Campbellsport student to die in a car accident this year. Three high school girls were killed when the vehicle they were riding in rolled over in February.
