(Oak Grove) A Cambria man was sentenced Thursday to seven years in prison for burglarizing a home in Oak Grove. In October, Antonio Gamez entered a no contest plea to one felony count of Burglary. Dodge County deputies were dispatched to a residence on North Grove Road in May after the property owner reported an intruder. She told authorities that the individual ran from the home when she confronted him. She reported missing a GPS, loose change and a class ring. A short while later, deputies were informed of a vehicle accident on North Grove Road south of State Highway 33 and the driver of the vehicle matched the description of the burglar. Gamez was at first uncooperative and told law enforcement that he did not want to be shot, Tased or pepper sprayed. After taking Gamez into custody, a search of the vehicle turned up a GPS device that had the same serial number of the one that was reported stolen. In addition to prison, the 31-year-old was placed on extended supervision for five years.
