Cambria Man Accused Of Internet Crimes Against Children

(CAMBRIA) A Cambria man is accused of committing internet crimes against children. Brett Berryman made his initial appearance in court on charges of possession of child pornography and sex offender registry violation.

Columbia County sheriff’s deputies executed a warrant at Berryman’s home last Thursday. Their investigation began following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children after images were flagged by an internet service provider.

Berryman was charged as a repeat offender as the 36-year-old was convicted in 2017 on four counts of possession of child pornography.

Law enforcement officials say the investigation is on-going and additional charges are expected. Berryman is due back in court next month.
