(Cambria) The Columbia County Health Department is partnering with the Wisconsin National Guard to provide several free community COVID-19 testing events. Drive-through nasal swab testing will be held at the Cambria Fire Department located at 702 Elizabeth Street tomorrow (December 18th), January 15th and 29th as well as February 12th and 26th. On testing days the site will be open from noon to 6pm. Columbia County health officials do note that the later dates are subject to change based on needs identified by their COVID-19 Response Team. Those interested in getting tested are asked to enter the fire department off of Highland Drive. Appointments are not necessary but in an effort to save time, people are encouraged to register online 24 hours prior to testing. Health officials say due to unknown amount of interest, prepare for potential wait times. They also ask that all vehicles form a line and that people stay inside at all times. No restroom facilities will be available onsite. All National Guard members assisting will be in uniform and full personal protective equipment. Individuals will be contacted with their results within three to seven business days.
