Cambria Burger Bar Wins Top Honor

(CAMBRIA – channel3000.com) If you’re looking for the best burger in Wisconsin, head to Columbia County.

The Tennessee Whiskey Burger from The Dump Bar & Grill in Cambria was named Wisconsin’s Best Burger on Friday by the Wisconsin Beef Council.

The annual contest looked at burgers from around the state, narrowing things down to an ‘Elite Eight’ of restaurants. A secret panel of judges then traveled to each location to taste-test the burgers.

The Tennessee Whiskey Burger includes a 1/2-pound patty with cheddar cheese, sauteed onions, whiskey brown sugar-candied back with a bourbon glaze, served on a lightly-grilled Kaiser roll.

“I didn’t believe it at first,” Dump owner Jack Jones said in a statement. “It is very rewarding. I credit our success to small town, Wisconsin values.”

This is the third year in a row that the Dump has been nominated for the contest. With the win this year, they will not be eligible for future contests.

You can find the Dump Bar and Grill at 105 West Edgewater Street in Cambria.
