Born Votes For Legislation Supporting Access To Health And Dentalcare

(Beaver Dam) State Representative Mark Born recently voted in favor of legislation supporting access to health and dental care.

The bills will allow certain professionals to practice across state lines, ensure access to telehealth services, and increase the availability of dental care services throughout the state.

Born says he ensuring citizens are able to see their dentist or healthcare professional in a timely manner is of critical importance.

The Beaver Dam Republican adds that collectively, these bills will increase the availability of providers so residents have care available when they need it.

Among the bills that received a vote in the assembly included legislation that requires the Department of Safety and Professional Services to contract with a third-party for processing certain professional licenses.

Another bill would prohibit the Department from requiring a duplicative statutes and rules exam for certain professions. The aim is to streamline the licensure process for several healthcare licenses.
