(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam High School football team heads to Watertown on Saturday night for a Badger Large Conference matchup. The game will renew a storied rivalry that was put on hold when the Wisconsin Little Ten Conference dissolved, sending Beaver Dam to the Badger North and Watertown to the Badger South.
Beaver Dam (2-1, 1-0) rides a two game win streak into Saturday night’s game win streak into tonight’s matchup while Watertown (1-2, 0-1) looks to bounce back from last week’s loss to Janesville Craig in their league opener.
This game was originally scheduled for Friday night, but was moved to Saturday night when no officials were available to work the game.
These teams have only met two times since parting ways from the Wisconsin Little Ten in 2016. On August 18th, 2018, Watertown’s Brian Katzenberger ran for 151 yards and a touchdown as the Goslings picked up the 20-7 win. Kendric Jimenez connected with James Brown on a 38-yard TD pass for the Golden Beavers lone score of the game.
They also met at Watertown on August 18th, 2017, when the Goslings picked up a 38-17. Dylan Fagerland threw for 285 yards and two TDs for the Goslings. Cade Oiler caught 12 passes for 202 yards. Dillon Livingston rushed for 66 yards and also caught five passes for 127 yards and TD to pace the Golden Beavers.
