Beavers Drop Regular Season Finale

The Beaver Dam High School football team dropped their regular season finale at Waunakee 52-0 on a rainy and windy Friday night.

The Beaver Dam defense held strong on Waunakee’s first drive, stopping a 10 play drive and holding the Warriors to just a field goal.   The 2nd ranked Warriors got their offense in gear and jumped out to a 38-0 lead at the half, out-gaining the Golden Beavers 337-32 in the first half and 478-73 for the game.

Parker Blank had eight carries for 26 yards to pace the BDHS offense.  Leo George caught 1 pass for 14 yards.

Vance Johnson completed 9 of 12 passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Waunakee offense.  David Emerich caught six passes for 103 yards.  Ben Lindley collected 66 rushing yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.

Beaver Dam (Overall: 6-3, Badger Large: 4-3) finishes in 3rd place in the Badger Large and has qualified for the playoffs and will find out their opponent on Saturday morning.  Waunakee (Overall: 9-0, Badger Large: 7-0) win the Badger Large and will most likely earn a #1 seed when the pairings are released.
