The Beaver Dam boys basketball team picked up an impressive 91-64 win over Reedsburg on Thursday night at the BDHS Fieldhouse.
Senior Nate Abel knocked down seven three-pointers and scored a game high 39 points to lead the Golden Beavers. Abel has now made 76 three-pointers this season, which sets a new program record. He busts the record previously held by Ryan Benish who connected on 72 three-pointers during the 1993-94 season. Abel is also 11 points away from breaking Garrett Nelson’s all-time scoring mark of 1403 points. Ty Bunkoske and Brady Helbing both added 13 in the win.
Reedsburg (3-15) was led by Zach Bestor with 34 points.
The Golden Beavers have just two seniors on their roster this season; Nate Abel and Braxton Davis.
