Beaver Dam’s Fall Downtown Fest Is Saturday

(Beaver Dam) A spooky fall celebration is being held in Beaver Dam this weekend. The Fall Downtown Fest is Saturday, presented by the Chamber of Commerce. The event features many Halloween-themed activities, including casket races, a costume contest, a box maze, and a witch’s dance.

“It’s an easy dance,” says organizer Deanna the Good Witch, “so you can watch it online and then join us too.”

The opening dance is at 10am, the closing dance is at 2:30pm and the night dance is at 7pm. Other spooky activities include trick-or-treating, a costume contest, and a scavenger hunt.

“Big family fun, it’s a great time,” says Deanna. “Last year was my first time attending and all the families in all the costumes, it was exciting. It’s like a costume contest. We saw costumes where the claw machine, you know where you put a quarter in and pull a stuffed toy out.”

There are downtown street closures throughout the family-friendly event from 10am to 3pm with the grown-up fun continuing at various establishments into the nighttime hours.
