Beaver Dam Youth Hockey Update: 2-22-21

-10U Squirts played Washington County B in West Bend on Saturday and won 5-1.  Beaver Dam was led on the score sheet by Xavier Wagner-Vargas with 3 goals and 1 assist.  Bradyn Poznanski had 1 goal and 1 assist, Jaxson Gottfredsen with 1 goal and 1 assist, and Isaiah Olds with 1 assist.  Tyce Moreau was in the net for Beaver Dam and made 14 saves.

-8U Wildfire Girls played in a Region 5 jamboree. They faced girls from Fond du Lac, Elmbrook, West Bend and Ozaukee. Shelby Stone played goalie. Piper Johnson, Charlotte Glembocki, Alanna Hanni and Ellie Rhodes all scored goals.

-10U Wildfire girls lost 10-4 against Appleton Freeze A. Scoring for the girls was Brenna Rhodes and Addisyn Mueller. Amelia Johnson had 19 saves. 10u heads to Weat Bend for The Heartbreaker Classic next weekend.

-12U Wildfire girls beat Ozaukee on Saturday morning and then fell short to Elmbrook Sunday morning. Emersen Damon and Brenna Rhodes both had goals. Kameron Albert had 37 saves on the day.

-14U Wildfire went to Tomah for a Round Robin Tournament. They fell to the Madison Mavericks A 2-1. On Saturday afternoon..Lauren Ruis had the lone goal and Emily Smedema collected 37 saves. Later that evening the Wildfire came away with a 5-2 win against the Western Wisconsin Stars. Addison Hoekstra had her first 14U goal, with Ali Stanul and Lauren Ruis contributing the other goals, assisted from Lillian Mansueto, Nevaeha Smolen, and Addysen Damon, Emily Smedema registered 24 saves. Sunday morning, the Wildfire beat the River Falls Blackcats 9-2. Mansueto and Ruis both had hat tricks with Addison Smedma and Stanul also scoring. Lauren Ruis also had a playmaker with Smolen and Audry Lont also contributing assists. Emily Smedema had another 27 saves. In a scoreless struggle until the 3rd period. Wildfire fell to the Coulee Region 3-0.  Emily Smedema had 43 saves. Meredith Modine, Addison Mylrea, and Maggie Dogs rounded out the team over the weekend.
