Beaver Dam Woman Succumbs To Injuries Several Days After Two Vehicle Crash

(Calamus) Authorities say a Beaver Dam woman succumbed to her injuries several days after a two vehicle crash in the Town of Calamus. Just before 10am on May 7th, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on Highway 151 at the intersection with County Highway DE. The initial investigation shows that a Chevrolet Impala, driven by 42-year-old Jessica Cartwright of rural Beaver Dam, was traveling eastbound on County Highway DE and came to a stop at the intersection. A GMC Acadia, operated by 30-year-old Kallie Reisinger of Beaver Dam, was heading southbound on Highway 151 and was approaching the intersection with County Highway DE. The Impala began driving east, across the southbound lanes of 151, causing the front of the Acadia to strike the driver’s side of Cartwright’s vehicle. Reisinger and her three-year-old daughter, who was restrained in a car seat, sustained minor injuries and were transported to Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam. Cartwright suffered serious injuries and was first taken to the Beaver Dam hospital before being flown by Flight for Life to Aurora Hospital in Summit. She passed away on May 10th. The crash is currently under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the Dodge County Medical Examiner. Assisting on scene were the Beaver Dam Fire Department and Paramedics.
