Beaver Dam Woman Placed On Probation For Battery At Local Bar

(Beaver Dam) A 20-year-old Beaver Dam woman who slashed open the face of a bar patron with a beer glass was placed on probation for a year. Topacio Calderon entered a no contest plea to a reduced misdemeanor charge of Battery for the incident that happened in the early morning hours after Christmas Day last December at Johnny’s Lounge in Beaver Dam. A misdemeanor charge of Disorderly Conduct was dismissed but read into the record. The victim approached Calderon and a friend because she felt they were talking about her and an argument broke out. That’s when Calderon threw a beer bottle at the victim’s head and smashed a beer glass in her face, resulting in a laceration. Calderon contends the victim made a racist comment and threw something at her first.
