(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam woman was convicted Thursday of threatening police. Ashley Horning pleaded guilty to a felony charge of Threats to Law Enforcement. Two additional misdemeanors were dismissed but read into the record. On April 14, police were dispatched to Madison Street in Beaver Dam following reports of a fight progress. Upon arrival officers spotted Horning kicking another female in the parking lot, she was then restrained with handcuffs and placed in the back of a squad car. While police were interviewing witnesses Horning was kicking the vehicleโs windows, ceiling and Plexiglas barrier. According to the criminal complaint, when Horning was removed from the squad car she continuously kicked at officers as they secured her ankles in zip-ties. Horning made various threats to police as she was transported to the Dodge County Jail. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered and Horning is due back in court on July 29.
