(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Unified School District will have several new members to their administrative team this fall. The school board recently approved several new hires including Russ Tronsen who will be the new Beaver Dam High School principal. Tronsen comes from Lake Geneva’s Badger High School where he served as principal for the past threes and has over a decade of teaching experience. Crystal Bates, former principal of the high school, will be changing levels this upcoming academic year to work with elementary aged children in Lincoln Elementary School’s top leadership post. Jesse Peters will move onto fill the position of District Assessment and Technology Officer after serving as Prairie View Elementary School Principal for the last nine years. Brandon Krause will step in as the new Prairie View Elementary School’s principal. Krause’s previous experience includes work as a elementary teacher, instructional coach, lead teacher and interventionist. Ashley Jansma will join Krause at Prairie View as the new associate principal. Jansma began her career in the district as an early childhood teacher and has taught first grade at Lincoln Elementary for the last few years. Superintendent Mark DiStefano says the district is thrilled to have a tradition of employing some of the most talented educators in the state.
