(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam teen is spearheading an effort to honor veterans in the community. The 2020 Beaver Dam Veterans Honor Walk Banner Program will feature a veteran with their photo, name, branch of service and credentials. Eagle Scout Luke Diljak recently laid out his plans before the city of Beaver Dam’s Operations Committee. To be considered for a banner the nominee must have served in one of the seven military branches and had been honorably discharged or died in the line the of duty. The cost is $300 each which includes a special booklet that will include a map of all veterans and where their banners are. The thirty-by-seventy-inch banners and will be on display along Front and Spring Streets from July to November. Families will be invited to a dinner and ceremony after the banners are taken down and will be able to keep them afterwards. For more information contact Luke Diljak at 920-885-6463.
