Beaver Dam Teen Accused Of Speeding and Running From Police

(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam teen is accused of running from police. Brenan Jordan is charged with one felony count of Attempting to Flee or Elude an Officer. Beaver Dam Police responded to reports of two motorcycles doing wheelies on Judson Drive two weeks ago. Officers located one of the motorcycles driving over the speed limit on South Spring Street and the suspect fled, reaching speeds of over 100-miles-per-hour as he entered the county. According to the criminal complaint, the officer looked down to grab his microphone to notify dispatch that he would be terminating the pursuit and, when he looked back up, there was a cloud of dust on the shoulder of the road. The 17-year-old crashed but allegedly took off running into a nearby fence line. After a quarter-mile, Jordan apparently gave up as the officer closed in. He reportedly apologized saying that he did not want to get caught because he does not have a motorcycle license. Jordan then told the officer, he does not even know how to do a wheelie. If convicted, the charge carries a maximum prison sentence of three-and-a-half years. An initial appearance is on the calendar in June.
