Beaver Dam Residents To See Utility Rate Increase

3/7/17 – For the first time since it was established, city of Beaver Dam residents will see an increase in the rate for the storm water utility. The utility was created in 2009 as a taxing mechanism to fund storm water management programs including water filtration ponds that collect rainwater and filter out impurities. City Engineering Coordinator Ritchie Piltz says the rate will increase 32-percent, which translates to between three dollars and four dollars per quarter. Commercial customers will see and average increase of $78 and industrial customers $489. The rate increase will be effective April 1.
