For the 2nd day in a row Beaver Dam Post 146 White Construction dropped an extra inning game at the Wisconsin American Legion AA State Tournament in Mauston. This time it was a season ender at the hands of Ashwaubenon 4-3 in 8 innings.
The A’s got on the board in the top of the 2nd when starter Brandon LeBeau gave up back to back, 2 out doubles. Beaver Dam answered in the bottom of the frame when Max Klawitter scored on an Ian Wendt-Utrie grounder.
After Ashwaubenon built a 3-1 lead with single runs in the top of the 4th and 6th, Post 146 rallied to tie it in the bottom of the 6th. With two outs Klawitter drove in Wes Biel and Bradon Franke plated Klawitter with a hit of his own.
The A’s Ashton Steinike’s sac fly to center in the top of the 8th scored Riley Siudzinski with the eventual game winning run.
The A’s Logan Blazek went the full 8 innings to pick up the while while BD’s Brandon LeBeau was hung with the hard luck loss.
Post 146 White Construction sees their season come to an end at 10-9. Ashwaubenon (19-10) stays alive and plays at 4pm on Sunday.
