(BEAVER DAM) Beaver Dam police officer was recently honored for helping crack a nationwide theft ring.
The police department says Officer Andrew Brunet responded to a theft at Walmart on Sept. 20. Using the Flock system for capturing vehicle information, Officer Brunet was able to help track the thieves down in Wausau. That’s where authorities found $7,700 worth of electronics stolen from Walmart stores across the country. The thieves were based in Detroit.
Walmart presented Brunet with a plaque to show its appreciation.
