(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Police Department is warning residents of an uptick in thefts and burglaries. Chief John Kreuziger says these crimes are being committed primarily in the southern part of the city and from unlocked vehicles. Kreuziger says what is even more concerning is that residences have been entered by both unlocked and unsecured access points and forcible entry. Citizens are reminded to lock vehicles and doors as well as windows. Other suggestions include turning on exterior lights or installing motion activated lights if possible and keep an eye on surrounding homes. The police department has also released video surveillance photos of suspects who are believed to be connected to the thefts. Kreuziger asks the public to contact them if they have any information that can lead to identifying the suspects. He also encourages any resident who has surveillance systems in place and may have images that could help law enforcement to reach out to them.
