Beaver Dam Police Chief Encourages Following Social Distancing Guidelines With Warm Up

(Beaver Dam) With the weather warming up, the Beaver Dam Police Chief is reminding citizens to continue following the governor’s social distancing orders while still enjoying outdoor activities. John Kreuziger says individuals and families are allowed to take walks, run or exercise outdoors even at city parks which remain open for limited activities. He says no team or contact sports are allowed such as playing basketball or football with groups of people. Also, playgrounds at all city parks are closed according to the governor’s orders. During Friday’s appearance on WBEV’s Community, Sergeant Jeremiah Johnson said playgrounds at all city parks are closed according to the governor’s orders. The city parks department is currenlty putting tape around playgrounds. Chief Kreuziger asks for assistance from parents in explaining these orders to their children so that they fully understand the magnitude of this situation. Adding that everyone takes this seriously so that we can keep everyone safe and healthy within the city of Beaver Dam. The orders are enforceable by the police department.
