Beaver Dam Outscores Hartford

The Beaver Dam Badgerland Summer League baseball team used a six-run 3rd inning to pick up a 10-7 win at Hartford on Sunday afternoon.   The Beaver Dam offense hammered out 13 hits on the afternoon including three each from Alex Soto and Jeffrey Bemis.  All three of Soto’s hits were doubles, which put him in position to also score two runs.  Out of the nine hole in the lineup, Bemis went 3×4 with a double and 4 RBI.  Griffin Wicklund also went 2×3 with a pair of RBI and Kyle Wheeler-Wood went 2×2.  Wesley Biel pitched the first three and a third innings to notch the win.  Alex Soto tossed three innings of relief, but got into trouble in the bottom of the 7th when Hartford put two on base with just one out.   Biel, then got back on the mound to record the final two outs of the game to secure the win.
