Beaver Dam Officials Looking At Tighter Restrictions On Vaping By Minors

(Beaver Dam) City officials in Beaver Dam are looking at tightening restrictions on vaping by minors. Police Chief John Kreuziger told city officials in committee this week that vaping is a growing problem, especially in schools. One concern is that there is no way to test the type of liquid that is being vaped. He noted the young people hospitalized recently from vaping substances that may be homemade and contain more than nicotine. The ordinance would not be intended to have restrictions on locations where vaping can take place. The matter is still being hammered out in committee.
